When an individual is facing a difficult medical condition, their doctor may prescribe complete-nutrition drinks, such as Boost or Ensure. This includes, but is not limited to, cancer, low body index, dementia, oral surgery, children undergoing treatment, etc.

Through Harvest Healing, Second Harvest Community Food Bank is able to assist those in need with the vital nutrients they need to heal. A patient only needs to bring a physician’s note to Second Harvest and they will receive a case of Boost, Ensure, or an equivalent product once each month. This note must include the patient's name, address, date of birth, and that the patient would benefit from this extra nutrition. The patient's condition is not required on the request.
